At the helm is Joe Roques, a visionary designer and sustainable builder who is redefining what home can look like in the 21st century. Driven by his passion for design and sustainability, Roques took on the bold challenge of creating Eswatini’s first pod house in Dwaleni, an effort that led to the founding of EezyPods, a company that crafts high-quality, sustainable modular pods blending comfort, efficiency, and style.
“The inspiration for EezyPods came from witnessing the many challenges of traditional construction lengthy build times, high costs, and environmental impact,” Joe explains. “I wanted to create housing that’s not only affordable and efficient but also environmentally conscious and aesthetically pleasing.” This vision gave birth to EezyPods, a modular housing concept designed to offer sustainable, scalable, and stylish solutions to the region’s growing housing needs.
Modular housing sits at the crossroads of innovation, sustainability, and necessity and Joe believes the timing couldn’t be more urgent. “I chose this path because it allows us to create high-quality homes faster, with less environmental impact, and at a lower cost without compromising on design or comfort,” Joe attests.

At the same time, Africa and Eswatini is seeing a massive surge in housing demand. “Urbanization is accelerating, and the need for scalable, sustainable solutions is critical,” Joe notes. “We’re not just building pods, we’re building the blueprint for Africa’s future housing: smart, fast, affordable, and green.”
