At just 14 years old, Mongezi Ntombini is already making waves both on the golf course and in the world of entrepreneurship. For many, golf is simply a sport, but for Mongezi, it has become a path of personal growth, discipline, and ambition.
โWhat made me fall in love with golf is the challenge it brings,โ he explains. โEvery round is different, and it really tests your focus, patience, and skill. I love that itโs not just physical itโs mental too. Seeing improvement over time, hitting better shots, or lowering my score feels like a personal victory.โ
Mongeziโs dedication to the game is evident in his daily routine. His typical day starts early with school from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by hours of focused practice until 5:00 p.m. Whether itโs working out in the gym, perfecting his swing at the range, or honing his short game, Mongezi commits himself fully to improving every aspect of his performance.
Yet, the path hasnโt been without its challenges. โThe biggest challenge for me has been managing my nerves during tournaments,โ he admits. โSometimes Iโd start overthinking shots, which affected my performance. I learned to focus on one shot at a time, practice breathing techniques, and stay in the moment, which has helped me play more consistently.โ

Golf, however, is just one part of Mongeziโs story. His entrepreneurial journey began with a bold vision inspired by one of golfโs greatest legends. โI realized I needed something like 1MoHole when I found out Tiger Woods was building his own brand,โ he says. โI wanted to create a brand bigger and better than his.โ
1MoHole is not just a clothing brand; it is a platform for recognition and support for junior golfers in Eswatini. โI just think of it as something that could benefit myself and other juniors in the near future,โ Mongezi explains. The first steps involved designing the brand identity and creating clothing that young golfers could wear with pride. Social media has been a key tool in sharing the brand and connecting with aspiring young golfers, raising awareness about both the sport and the brandโs mission.
Mongeziโs ambitions are clear. He hopes to make 1MoHole one of the biggest clothing brands in Eswatini and eventually expand into South Africa. โI wish people thought about 1MoHole as more than just clothes itโs about giving junior golfers the recognition and support they deserve,โ he says.
Reflecting on his journey, Mongezi offers advice to young entrepreneurs: โStart small and start now. You donโt need to have everything figured out just take the first step and build from there. Stay consistent, believe in your idea, and donโt be afraid to ask for help along the way.โ
What sets Mongezi apart is not just his skill or ambition but his vision for the future. He sees 1MoHole as more than a brand itโs a movement to uplift junior golf in Eswatini. โI hope in five years, 1MoHole will be a popular brand not only in Eswatini but also in South Africa,โ he says.
Despite being only 14, Mongezi demonstrates a maturity and focus beyond his years. His story is one of perseverance, ambition, and the drive to create opportunities not only for himself but for others. He understands that success requires both discipline and patience qualities that golf has taught him in abundance.

Mongezi Ntombiniโs journey is a reminder that age is no barrier to impact. With a love for the game, a clear vision, and an entrepreneurial spirit, he is already making his mark. Whether on the fairway or in the fashion industry, Mongezi is showing that passion, consistency, and courage can turn dreams into reality.
At the intersection of sport and business, Mongezi is building a legacy not just for himself, but for the next generation of Eswatini junior golfers. With 1MoHole, he is giving young athletes the recognition they deserve, inspiring others to follow their dreams, and proving that even at 14, you can aim high and achieve big.
