Good Vibes Only at The Hive Market’s Special

Mbabane is getting ready to hum with creative energy once again. The Hive Market is making its return to the Serendipity Complex, bringing together a colorful gathering of local makers, thrift hunters, foodies, and music lovers.

Hosted by Honey Child Style and spearheaded by founder Pinky Marcia Glover, this upcoming edition doubles as a Birthday Month Special.

Taking place on September 26, 2026, from 12 noon to 6 PM, the gathering promises a community-first atmosphere where shopping small feels like catching up with old friends.

In a recent Instagram story, Pinky reached out directly to her community, encouraging vendors and supporters to turn up, set up shop, and take part in the day.

Her call to action was whether you are looking to showcase homegrown products or just drop by to discover something new, there is space reserved for everyone under the sun.

With entry set at totally free, the setup invites everyone toslow down, stroll through the stalls, and soak up the good energy.

The Hive Market has earned a reputation for stepping away from the traditional, rigid retail environment.

It is built as an open platform for local entrepreneurs to share their passion projects, network face-to-face, and grow their reach without the stress of massive overheads.

The upcoming market covers a wide range of stalls, with vendor space available at E400.

Visitors can expect an eclectic mix of offerings, including:

  • Fashion & Accessories: Standout apparel, custom pieces, and signature Honey Child Style collections.
  • Second-Hand Clothing: Carefully curated vintage and thrift finds waiting for a new home.
  • Health & Hair Products: Homemade wellness solutions, natural hair care, and organic cosmetics.
  • Food & Drinks: Fresh bites, sweet treats, and local culinary creations.

Worth noting this isn’t the first time Honey Child Style has brought Mbabane to life.

Previous activations at the Serendipity Complex have transformed the quiet courtyard into a bustling hub of creativity and commerce.

Past events hosted pop-up showcases featuring standout homegrown brands like Perfume Paradise, Makoti Dress Up, Luxury Soles, Aristocrat, and Popping Deco.

During earlier markets, local entrepreneurs praised the informal setup for creating direct, meaningful connections with buyers.

Small business owners noted that being able to talk to shoppers in person, gather direct feedback, and showcase products in an easygoing, open-air setting offered an invaluable boost.

It is this grassroots foundation that keeps vendors returning and attracts fresh talent every time the pop-up opens its doors.

No Hive Market activation is complete without a solid soundtrack. Providing the backdrop for the afternoon will be resident DJ Ntombs alongside friends, spinning smooth tunes that keep the vibe relaxed and welcoming throughout the day.

More than just a place to buy goods, the event acts as a gathering ground for local creatives to hang out, collaborate, and support one another.

Under the ethos of ‘Shop Local, Support Local, We Grow Together,’ the market emphasizes collective growth over competition.

Whether you are hunting for pre-loved clothing, grabbing lunch, or simply enjoying the weekend music, September 26 at the Serendipity Complex is set to deliver great finds and even better company.
