Eswatini golfer Nobuhle Dlamini has given the country another proud moment on the continental golf stage after representing the Kingdom at the 2026 Pearl of Africa Tour in Uganda.
Dlamini competed against professionals from across Africa in the three-round tournament at Entebbe Club, which featured a mixed men’s and women’s field competing for a US$20,000 prize purse, approximately E325,500.
The Eswatini professional finished the tournament with a total score of 214, one-over-par, following rounds of 73, 69 and 72.

While Uganda’s Ronald Rugumayo claimed victory and the lion’s share of the prize purse, Dlamini’s participation ensured that Eswatini was represented among professionals from across the continent.
For Dlamini, the tournament was about more than simply competing. It was also an opportunity to carry the Eswatini flag onto an important African golfing platform while building relationships with fellow professionals and golf development stakeholders.
“I had the opportunity to play in Uganda this past week at the Pearl of Africa Tour,” Dlamini said.
“It was inspiring to see professionals from different African countries come together in a mixed men’s and women’s event.”
Her participation also extended beyond competition, with Dlamini engaging in discussions around junior golf development with representatives from Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria.
“I also had meaningful discussions around junior golf development with countries doing exciting work in this space, particularly Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria,” she said.
The discussions provided an opportunity for experiences to be shared on how the sport can be introduced to more young players and how golf development can be strengthened across the continent.
Dlamini believes Africa has significant potential to grow the sport through greater collaboration and the sharing of ideas between countries.
“There is so much potential for African golf, and I’m excited about what we can learn from one another and how we can grow the game across the continent,” she said.
Her appearance at the Pearl of Africa Tour therefore represents more than another entry on her professional playing calendar. It was an opportunity for an Eswatini golfer to compete on African soil, connect with the continent’s golfing community and contribute to conversations about the future of the sport.
