
South African house music heavyweight DJ Fresh is set to bring his celebrated sound to Eswatini later this month as he headlines Dumisa’s Birthday Celebration at The Destination on Saturday.
The much-anticipated lifestyle event is already generating excitement among local music lovers, with fans eager to witness one of Africa’s most influential DJs perform live.
The event will also feature performances by Shaft People, alongside a strong supporting lineup that includes Mavava, Cybos, Tibza, Katz, Culolam, Curious, Lounger, Mseto, Deenox, Lord F, DJ Mysto Funk, Maps G, Milindo, Stixx and Simza.
Set against the vibrant atmosphere of The Destination, the celebration is expected to attract partygoers from across the country for a full-day and night entertainment experience.



Born Thato Sikwane, DJ Fresh is regarded as one of South Africa’s most accomplished radio personalities and DJs. With a career spanning more than three decades, he has played a major role in shaping the Southern African music and entertainment industry. Known for his energetic sets and ability to connect with crowds, DJ Fresh has remained relevant through different generations of music fans.
Originally born in Botswana and later establishing his career in South Africa, DJ Fresh, according to his biography, rose to fame during the 1990s as part of the pioneering house music movement. He became widely recognized through his work on radio, particularly on popular stations such as YFM and later 5FM, where his charisma and music knowledge earned him a loyal audience.
Over the years, DJ Fresh built a reputation not only as a club DJ but also as a respected producer and entertainer. His music catalogue includes several hit tracks and collaborations with some of the biggest names in African music.

According to the promotional poster, gates open at 12 noon and festivities are expected to continue until late. Tickets are priced at E150 for early bird access, E200 for general entry and E350 for VIP access.
With DJ Fresh leading the lineup, anticipation continues to build for what is expected to be one of the standout entertainment events of the month. Music enthusiasts can expect a mix of house classics, crowd favourites and high-energy performances as Dumisa celebrates another milestone in style.
