Unleash the Wolf (UTW), a house and electronic music event curated by Sukoluhle ‘!Sooks’ Dlamini, Swazi born international Dj and producer, in partnership with Antidote Music, is set to make a return on 26 April at Oryx Restaurant and Lounge in Ezulwini. Following a well-received previous edition, the event continues to position itself as a focused experience for lovers of deep and electronic house music in Eswatini.
Building on its growing reputation, UTW remains intentional about its identity. The event is known for carefully curated lineups that reflect a specific sound, over mainstream trends. This approach has helped it stand out in the local events space and in South Africa, attracting a niche but loyal audience that values quality music and atmosphere.
Line up roll out underway
At the centre of this edition is a fresh pick of regional talent, with South African deep house artist Gabbana and selector Mamthug among the first announced acts. Alongside, the iconic Swazi group of creatives, producers; Secret Souls, who have contributed immensely to the house music scene and have been a part of numerous projects in the country and region that cemented the base for house music artists to grow from. After a long halt in performance, this will be a historic event.
Mamthug, in particular, brings a unique presence to the lineup. Often described as having a calm but striking aura, her sets are rooted in jazzy house influences and layered soundscapes.
