He expressed gratitude upon his appointment and stated thathe is ready to take the station to the next level.

“We are not where we should be for an entity of our calibre. I believe online platforms such as social media and podcastsneed to be embraced, as opposed to being viewed as a threat. We can only accomplish this with the right mindset and capacity,” he said.
Khoza’s broadcasting journey began in 1992 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s campus radio station. He later worked at EBIS 2 alongside Lelo Ntshalintshali, before moving to Capital Radio. Following the station’s closure, he joined East Coast Radio in 1997, where he spent nine years.
In 2006, he became the inaugural programmes manager at Gagasi FM, where he also hosted the afternoon drive show. His career later took him to Radio 2000, BBC Radio, Vuma FM, Radio 702, and Rise FM, among others.
Beyond radio, Khoza has lectured, consulted, and authored three published books.

Khoza expressed admiration for Eswatini’s thriving entertainment sector, highlighting its talent and potential.
“We have very little to be ashamed of. I just pray that the artists (DJs, producers, musicians, and vocalists) get platforms to display their art, and also get to monetize their craft. Management and copyright are also key,” he said, citing events such as the Divas Concert and Bushfire Festival as strong showcases of local creativity.
In a statement, the Rise FM board voiced full confidence in Khoza’s leadership. “Makhosi is a natural leader with anunmatched passion for radio. We believe he will elevate the station in content and reach,” the station’s board said.
