Swazi Plaza is set for a weekend of entertainment and family activities, with its Food Court preparing to host another edition of Swazi Plaza Nights on Friday before the Kiddies Carnival takes over Corporate Place Rooftop on Saturday.
The weekend programme begins this coming Friday, when Swazi Plaza Nights returns to the Food Court at Corporate Place from 6:30 pm.
The free-entry evening will bring together live music, a DJ set and a host to keep the programme moving, with food and drinks available for purchase throughout the night.

Rapper, singer, songwriter and producer Ace Julz is scheduled to headline the evening. The Eswatini artist works across genres while maintaining a hip hop foundation and has built his profile through live performances and music releases.
Ace Julz was among the top three finalists at the MTN Bushfire Firefly grand finale and has performed on the MTN Bushfire Festival stage three times.
His performances have also taken him across the border to Botswana, while his music has received airplay on Metro FM, 5FM and Ligwalagwala.
Opening the programme will be Sanele Shiba, known by his stage name Sugar. The Eswatini singer is known for songs drawn from personal experiences, with a style that combines direct storytelling with a strong visual identity.

DJ Uncle Karly will handle the decks during the evening, providing the music between performances and keeping the programme moving. Mainstream will serve as host, guiding the audience through the night.
The event will also give visitors an opportunity to make use of the Food Court and surrounding Plaza facilities, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and food available for purchase.
Organisers have reminded patrons that outside alcohol is not permitted, while alcohol sales to anyone under 18 are prohibited.
Visitors can purchase alcohol from Shoprite LiquorShop or enjoy drinks with meals at licensed eateries including Galito’s, Spur and Mozambik. The organisers have also reminded patrons to drink responsibly and not to drink and drive.

Swazi Plaza Nights will be followed on Saturday by a full day aimed at children.
The Kiddies Carnival will take place at Corporate Place Rooftop from 10 am, giving children between the ages of three and 12 access to a range of activities for an entry fee of E10 per child.
The fee covers all activities at the carnival, while onsite childminders and security will be available as children move between the different activities.
The programme is designed to give children a day of games and entertainment while parents have time to shop, relax and make use of the Plaza’s facilities.
Water activities will form part of the carnival, and parents have been advised to pack towels and a change of clothes for their children. Seating at the rooftop venue will be limited, with families encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase at the venue and elsewhere around Swazi Plaza, allowing families to spend the day at the centre without having to leave for food and drinks.
The two-day programme brings together two different parts of the Plaza’s weekend offering. Friday’s event is centred on live music and nightlife, while Saturday shifts the focus to children and family entertainment.
For Swazi Plaza, the programme also provides an opportunity to bring customers into the centre beyond regular shopping hours.
The Friday night event creates space for local artists and DJs to perform in a public setting, while Saturday’s carnival gives families activities that can be enjoyed during the day.
Swazi Plaza has reminded visitors that it reserves the right of admission and may refuse entry or remove anyone who breaches the event rules.
The reminder forms part of the arrangements intended to keep both events orderly and accessible to the public.
With Friday’s programme starting at 6:30pm and Saturday’s activities beginning at 10am, the weekend offers two separate opportunities for visitors to spend time at Corporate Place.
The first is a night of music featuring Ace Julz, Sugar, Uncle Karly and Mainstream, while the second is a children’s carnival built around games, activities and water-based fun.

Both events are free or low-cost, with Friday night offering free entry and Saturday’s carnival priced at E10 per child. Food and refreshments will be available during both events, making Swazi Plaza the venue for a weekend programme that caters to both music audiences and families.
The Plaza has encouraged attendees to arrive prepared for each event and to observe venue guidelines throughout the weekend.
