SWAZIBOY BRINGS DAY CLUB TO LIFE

SwaziBoy Entertainment is revitalising the day club with its “But Coffee First” session.

The nightlife scene has undergone a significant transformation in recent years. In an unexpected twist, during this era of declining nightclub popularity, daytime clubbing has slowly replaced it around the world.

Day club parties, or simply day clubs, are social events held during the day in venues that recreate the high-energy atmosphere of a nightclub. These gatherings typically feature live DJs, dancing, drinks, and a vibrant crowd, but with the added bonus of sunlight and open-air settings.

While some nightclubs have patios or outdoor dance floors, it’s not the norm, especially in colder climates. Day clubs, on the other hand, are designed around being outside. Many people now prioritize health and wellness, preferring events that don’t disrupt their sleep schedules.

Day clubs offer a lively social experience while allowing attendees to maintain a balanced routine. Although to be fair, while partying hard and rolling isn’t exactly healthy, at least you’re sleep schedule may not be as affected!

Swaziboy Entertainment Director Mthunzi Zwane stated that with ‘But First Coffee’, they aimed to bring the concept of day clubbing to life in the country. They aimed to engage with a more mature audience, particularly those who have lost interest in traditional night clubbing, recognising that day clubbing has evolved into a lifestyle choice.

“Day clubbing is now a thing. Our age allows us to do day clubbing. We can’t afford the night clubbing any more (beams).”

“With ‘But First Coffee’ we also wanted our Swaziboy Entertainment family, friends and fans to network and socialise while enjoying music and their favourite drinks.”

“As social trends continue to evolve; day club parties are likely to remain a staple of modern entertainment. They cater to diverse preferences and lifestyles, which makes them appealing to many. The day club phenomenon is now a way of life, and these social scenes are the new nightlife,” said Zwane.

“Let’s not lie, daytime clubbing is gaining popularity and is changing the way people enjoy nightlife, except now it happens during the day. This trend is growing, with people loving the idea of dancing and socialising under the sun rather than waiting until dark.

“It gives a fresh, unique experience from traditional nightlife. One of the biggest reasons people are excited about this trend is the vibe. Dancing in natural light, surrounded by sunny weather, creates a unique and relaxed atmosphere that nighttime parties don’t provide. Instead of crowded dark clubs, daytime events often happen at outdoor venues, rooftop spaces, or open-air locations, giving a sense of freedom and space.”

Bahle Gallery on catering to the urban vibe…

Bahle Gallery has been in business for 20+ years focusing on art and crafts. services the establishment focuses on is art, framing, plants, and cafe. The establishment recently gave birth to a sister cafe Bahle Pantry which mainly focuses on dining and has been operating for the past 5 years. Both cafes offer breakfast and lunch, and what makes our space unique is that we serve home cooked meal kind of food other than fast foods.

Speaking on the unique “But First Coffee” experience, operations representative Busiswa Dlamini states that “Attendees can expect a vibrant, multisensory experience that goes beyond coffee and pancakes.”

… ‘But First Coffee’ 4th edition on Saturday

Swaziboy Entertainment will be hosting their fourth edition of the ‘But First Coffee’ session on Saturday at Bahle Art Gallery in Mbabane.

This was announced by Zwane, stating that the session will commence at 10AM till 4PM. The theme is ‘ A cozy, caffeine-fuelled celebration of coffee culture with music’.

“ We are all about  networking and  beautiful music. This week we will have DJ Wicked, Ntombs and Crooks on the turntables. The entry is simply E150 and E 300 which includes coffee and pancakes,” stated Zwane.

Another reason for people to attend the ‘ But Coffee First’ is its appeal to different age groups. Unlike traditional nightlife, which often caters to younger crowds, daytime events tend to attract a wider variety of ages.

Families, young professionals, and even older adults are drawn to the laid-back, fun, and inclusive atmosphere that daytime clubbing offers. The relaxed environment and earlier hours make it easier for those with busy schedules or family commitments to attend and enjoy themselves.

‘But Coffee First ‘also opens the door to new fashion trends. Since these events usually take place outside in the sun, people tend to dress in lighter, more casual outfits. Bright colours, comfortable sneakers, and trendy sunglasses are common at this sitting.

The dress code is often less formal than night-time events, giving attendees a chance to express their personal style in a fun, carefree way.
