The holiday season in Malkerns is set to begin with a celebration like no other as Malandela’s Lifestyle Centre hosts its annual Christmas Tractor Parade on Saturday, 29th November 2025. The event promises a full day of family fun, festive cheer, and a heartfelt tribute to the farming community that forms the backbone of the Malkerns Valley.
While Malandela’s is best known for its vibrant events, restaurant, and boutique shopping experiences, many may not realize that it is also a working farm. Agriculture has always been at the heart of the centre’s identity, and the Christmas Tractor Parade was created to celebrate that.
“The Christmas Tractor Parade is our way of showcasing and celebrating farmers and the agricultural community. It’s a fun and festive reminder that farming is still at the heart of who we are,” says Bronwen Evans who is one of the event organisers at Malandela’s.
The 2025 parade takes place under the theme “Community and Agriculture,” a fitting reflection of what makes the Malkerns Valley so special. As the area continues to grow and modernize, Malandela’s aims to keep the community connected to its agricultural roots.

“As the valley grows and changes, we want to stay connected to our roots. Farming built this community, and many of us are still connected to it in one way or another,” Bronwen explains.
True to the spirit of the festive season, the Tractor Parade is also about giving back. This year’s event will raise funds for The Moya Centre Food Drive and The Malkerns Children’s Trust, two local community organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
“The Moya Centre’s food program is something we supported last year, and we’ve seen the real impact it makes. The Malkerns Children’s Trust also does incredible work, feeding over 280 children every day. Partnering with both allows us to give back directly to our own community,” says Bronwen.

This year’s edition promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet. Alongside the main parade, visitors can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day, including:
- Breakfast Dash – Start the morning right with a delicious farm breakfast.
- Christmas Market – Shop local gifts, crafts, and festive goodies.
- Carols & Boogie Barn – Enjoy live music and Christmas carols.
- Harvest Games – Fun activities for all ages.
- The Tractor Parade – The highlight of the day, showcasing Malkerns’ proud farming heritage.
Visitors can also take part in the Tractor Parade Raffle, with tickets priced at E100 and a chance to win up to E2000 in cash. All proceeds will go directly to charity. Raffle tickets are available at: mojaticket.com/ticketcheckout.html?id=17806
Farmers from across the valley are invited to participate by bringing their tractors, while families and visitors are encouraged to come and enjoy a day filled with music, laughter, and festive joy.
The Christmas Tractor Parade is more than just an event, it’s a celebration of Eswatini’s agricultural spirit, community values, and the true meaning of Christmas.
