A bold new chapter in Eswatini’s food industry has been written as homegrown brand Black Mamba Foods officially joins forces with KFC Eswatini, bringing its signature chilli flavour to one of the country’s most popular fast-food menus.
The collaboration introduces the “Black Mamba Dunked Collective,” a limited-time offering that blends KFC’s well-known crispy chicken with Black Mamba’s organic peri-peri sauces. Made locally using fresh organic chillies, the product highlights the brand’s commitment to clean, high-quality ingredients while celebrating distinctly African flavour profiles.
For Black Mamba Foods, the milestone is more than just another international or regional partnership, it is a homecoming. After successfully appearing on menus in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, the company says launching in Eswatini carries deeper meaning.
“This one is different. This is home,” said Claudia Castellanos, Co-founder and CEO of Black Mamba Foods.

“We’ve had incredible opportunities to showcase our products abroad, but bringing this collaboration to Eswatini is truly special. It’s about giving back to the community that has supported us from the very beginning.”
Castellanos added that the partnership reflects the growing recognition of African-made products on global and local platforms alike. “Every collaboration proves that bold African flavour has a place on any table, anywhere. But here, it means even more because it’s for Emaswati, made in Eswatini.”
The partnership also underscores KFC Eswatini’s commitment to supporting local producers, aligning with a broader push toward homegrown innovation in the food sector.
Founded in 2010, Black Mamba Foods was created to build a sustainable market for locally grown produce while empowering rural communities. The company produces ethical, fair-trade chilli sauces, pestos, and jams using organically grown ingredients such as habaneros and jalapeños.
Through partnerships with organisations like Guba, it supports over 60 smallholder farmers and women-led cooperatives across Eswatini. With a strong focus on permaculture, waste reduction, and minimal plastic use, the brand has grown into an internationally recognised name, exporting to markets including the United Kingdom and the United States while maintaining its commitment to sustainability and community upliftment.
