Entrepreneurship and mental health will take centre stage when Love Your Mind hosts its Business Talk on Saturday, October 31, 2026, bringing together entrepreneurs, facilitators and guest speakers to explore the challenges of starting a business while navigating mental health concerns.
According to a press statement forwarded to this publication, the event, themed “How to Start vs Mental Illness,” will take place at Bethel Court in Ezulwini from 13:00 to 16:00. Entry is set at E150, with aspiring entrepreneurs, established business owners and members of the public invited to attend.
The initiative seeks to create a platform for conversations around entrepreneurship and mental well-being, recognising the importance of addressing the personal and psychological challenges that may accompany the pursuit of business success.

Starting a business often requires determination, resilience and the ability to navigate uncertainty. However, the pressure to generate income, secure customers, manage finances and meet expectations can also place considerable strain on an individual’s mental and emotional well-being.
Through the Business Talk, Love Your Mind aims to bring these issues into the same conversation, encouraging participants to consider how mental health intersects with entrepreneurial ambitions and the realities of building a business.
The programme will feature Love Your Mind Founder and Director Sisekelo Nkosi, alongside Co-Founder and Facilitator Simangaliso Gama. They will be joined by guest speakers Buhle Makhubu Hlanze, Jiggs Thorne, Tezulu Dlamini and Mbongeni Matsebula.
The speakers are expected to contribute to discussions around the event’s central theme, offering participants an opportunity to engage with different perspectives on entrepreneurship and mental health. The programme also provides a setting for attendees to exchange ideas, reflect on their experiences and consider approaches to navigating the demands of business ownership.

The event comes at a time when entrepreneurship remains an important avenue for economic participation, particularly for young people and individuals seeking to create employment opportunities for themselves and others.
However, while the prospect of running a successful business can be attractive, the journey is not always straightforward. Financial uncertainty, long working hours, competition and the responsibility of keeping a business operational can create pressures that extend beyond the workplace.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, understanding these realities is an important part of preparing for the journey. For those already operating businesses, open conversations about mental health can help challenge the perception that business success must come at the expense of personal well-being.
The event’s theme places particular emphasis on the relationship between starting a business and the challenges associated with mental illness. It presents an opportunity to examine how individuals can pursue their ambitions while acknowledging the importance of mental health awareness and appropriate support.
Beyond the presentations, the gathering is also positioned as an opportunity for networking and engagement among people with shared interests in entrepreneurship and personal development.
Love Your Mind has encouraged interested participants to attend the three-hour session. Further information is available by contacting the organisers on +268 7866 5619.
