Mdizimba View, Olive Country Lodge, Sibebe Resort and Summerfield Resort will be battling it out for top honours in the Leisure, Entertainment and Resort category at the 2026 Eswatini Customer Service Excellence Awards.
The four nominees are among businesses recognised in the 11th edition of the awards, which celebrate customer service excellence across various industries in the country.

Held under the theme “Going the Extra Mile”, the awards place the spotlight on businesses that strive to create memorable customer experiences, with entertainment and leisure establishments competing for recognition in a sector where service, atmosphere and hospitality are key to attracting and retaining visitors.
The nominations follow a public survey conducted from September 1 to 28, 2026, through which members of the public nominated organisations and individuals they believe deserve recognition for their customer service.
For entertainment venues and resorts, customer experience extends beyond the facilities on offer. The quality of hospitality, staff interaction, the environment and the overall experience can all influence how visitors perceive an establishment.

The four nominees will therefore be seeking recognition in a category that highlights the role leisure destinations play in providing spaces for relaxation, recreation and social gatherings.
Restaurants also in the spotlight
The entertainment and leisure category forms part of a wider hospitality and tourism representation at the awards.
In the restaurant category, Espinho Restaurant, Gil Vicente, JK’s Steakhouse, Sage Coffee Shop and Simunye Country Club are among the nominees competing for recognition.

The hotel category features Bushbaby, Happy Valley Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, Mountain View Hotel and The George Hotel.
Travel agencies and tour operators are also represented, with Amanile Travel & Tours, Let’s Go Zanzibar, Transmagnific and Travel With Fatima nominated.
The broad representation highlights the importance of customer service across the hospitality industry, where visitors’ experiences can influence their decision to return to a destination or recommend it to others.

For businesses in the leisure and entertainment industry, customer satisfaction is an important consideration, particularly as establishments compete to attract visitors seeking memorable experiences.
From welcoming guests to maintaining facilities and responding to customer needs, service delivery can contribute to the overall impression visitors take away from an establishment.
The awards provide an opportunity to recognise businesses nominated by the public, placing their customer service efforts in the spotlight alongside those of organisations operating in other sectors.
The programme also includes nominees from banking, insurance, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications and public institutions, reflecting the wide range of industries involved in customer-facing services in Eswatini.
The awards dinner is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026, at Happy Valley Hotel, with proceedings expected to begin at 18:30.
