Building Balanced Men – Semusa Networks Hosts 2nd Annual Build Him Men’s Symposium

As Eswatini joins the rest of the world in commemorating Men’s Mental Health Month this June, Semusa Networks is once again creating a platform for meaningful dialogue, learning, and personal growth through the 2nd Annual Build Him Men’s Symposium 2026.

Scheduled for 26 June 2026 at the Mavuso Trade & Exhibition Centre, the symposium will bring together thought leaders, professionals, fathers, husbands, caregivers, and community leaders for a day dedicated to empowering men and strengthening families and communities.

This year’s theme, “The Balanced Man: Mind, Body & Purpose,” speaks directly to the growing need for men to prioritize their mental wellbeing while embracing healthy relationships, responsible leadership, and positive masculinity.

A Timely Conversation

June is a significant month for men globally. Alongside Father’s Day celebrations, it is also a time to raise awareness about men’s mental health challenges, including stress, depression, burnout, and the societal pressures that often prevent men from seeking help.

Recognising these realities, Semusa Networks has assembled a diverse panel of experts who will tackle critical issues affecting men, families, and workplaces.

Leading the conversation is renowned South African therapist Ms. Thabang Mashigo, who returns to Eswatini as the symposium’s keynote speaker following her impactful contribution at the Envision Her Summit hosted earlier this year.

A qualified individual and relationship therapist, Mashigo has built a reputation for transforming lives by helping individuals address the root causes of psychological trauma and emotional wounds.

A qualified individual and relationship therapist, Mashigo has built a reputation for transforming lives by helping individuals address the root causes of psychological trauma and emotional wounds. Her work has earned praise from countless participants who have benefited from her insights and practical approach to healing and personal development.

According to Semusa Networks’ Sisusa Dlamini, bringing Mashigo back was a deliberate decision aimed at extending her expertise to the nation’s men at a time when mental wellness conversations are more important than ever.

Diverse Expertise, Relevant Conversations

Joining Mashigo will be a panel of respected local subject matter experts who will share insights on a range of issues affecting modern men and families.

Among the featured speakers is Mr Clement Dlamini, Director of the Centre for Community Services and Social Work Lecturer at UNESWA, who will explore the topic of healthy masculinity and positive manhood.

Mrs Tryphinah Mvubu, Founder and Director of Autism Eswatini, will address the often-overlooked challenges of raising children with special needs, helping to break the stigma surrounding caregiving and parental responsibilities.

Attendees will also hear from Superintendent Thobeka Mathunjwa of the Manzini Police Headquarters Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Unit, who will unpack issues around sexual offences and domestic violence in the workplace and beyond, providing important perspectives on accountability, safety, and awareness.

Adding a touch of inspiration and entertainment to the programme will be popular entertainer Mdura. At the same time, veteran media personality and Eswatini Observer Managing Editor, Mbongeni Mbingo will serve as Programme Director.
